Today, we visited Willa's pediatrician for a follow-up check up. I was nervous - as any mother would be, for her to be on another set of antibiotics. Although my daughter has never caused me any trouble on taking her medication, I'd prefer she's taking none.
Willa's test results showed some abnormality in the bladder so we were referred to a Urologist. The doctor was pleasant and gave us a lesson about urine retention and how the medical procedures are done. Trust me, you don't want to have an initial test with a doctor like him. Diagnosis is lengthy and painful.
The silence in the room broke after he told me and my husband that our precious little girl is okay. But what I loved about this doctor is that he's not complacent. He asked for series of tests if the infection does not occur in 3 months (the easiest ones - Ultrasound and Urinalysis).
I'm rarely fond of doctors because they either treat your illness without explaining what's happening to you or totally ignore you. If any reader here is in Marikina, Cainta or Taytay area and need someone like him, please contact me and I'll give you his details.
